FG ,Organised labour resume talks over increase in pump price, electricity tariff

A meeting is underway between the federal government and organised labour over last year’s twin increases in the price of petrol and electricity tariff.

The resumed meeting is to review the report of the the two Committee on Premium Motor Sips and Electricity tariff.

If adopted, the reports of the committees are expected to set the template for price adjustment of the two products.

Leader of the government team and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, assures organised labour the government will implement the overall agreement at the end of the conciliation meetings as a way of bringing industrial actions to a halt.

The NLC President. Ayuba Wabba an his TUC counterpart, Quadri Olaleye say organised labour is committed to making the negotiations yield fruitful results.
