A new case of Lassa fever has been recorded in Kaduna state.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, Amina Mohammed-Baloni, said a 40-year-old male with the fever, was admitted at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, and was receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Control Centre.
This brings to two the number of confirmed cases receiving treatment at the IDCC.

So far, Kaduna State has recorded a total of eight confirmed cases since the outbreak on the January 22nd.
