The crisis rocking the All progressives Congress in Edo state seems not to be ending soon, as factional executives have emerged in Ikpoba Okha local government area.
The emergence of the factional executives in Ikpoba okha local government area is a result if the crisis rocked the state House of Assembly months ago.
The members of the party in the local government said they do no longer have confidence in the leadership as previously constituted. According to them, after due consideration and ratification of alleged dissolution of the executive, it became necessary to have a new set of leaders.
But the group may have a stiff resistance from within, as they are considered to have no such power of dissolving an elected executive and creating a faction.
Barely one year to the governorship election in Edo state, the battle for the soul of the party is getting fiercer. Also recall that this is the home state of the National chairman of the party and his predecessor.
