Clergymen in Nigeria have been admonished to be like the prophets in the Bible who weren’t after money but winning souls and praying for their nations.
Senior Correspondent, Ivy Kanu, who was at the Feast of Jesus Passover of Hand of Fire and reports that kidnapping, banditry, and insurgency were some of the prayer points at the event.
For members of Hand of Fire, it has become a tradition to be observed before the feast of Passover procession. Armed with palm fronds they walked in their hundreds, round the Igando area of Lagos State.
On their return, they bowed and ensured their foreheads touch the ground at the entrance before going back into the church.
The church overseer said the feast of Passover plays a huge role in the lives of his members especially the mystery associated with the palms. And he has a word of advice for other church leaders in Nigeria.
He said Christians should allow the Holy Spirit minister to their spirits so they will have a deeper understanding of the mysteries contained in the Bible.
