Corps members have been advised to take entrepreneurship training provided to them by the federal government very seriously. The Director-General of the corps, Major General Sulaiman Kazaure made this known while addressing corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu, Ogun State.
TVC Kazeem Olowe reports that in order to reduce unemployment in Nigeria, the National Youth Service Corps has advised corps members to make use of the opportunity of the service year to acquire skills that can later sustain them after the one year programme.
The Director-General of the corps, Sulaiman Kazaure who was represented by AbdulRasheed Sanusi gave this advise while speaking on reasons why graduates must be ready for challenges ahead.
He said the skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship development programme of the National Youth Service Corps was specially introduced to empower them with practical knowledge.
He urged them to always think of what they can do to make the country and their society better and to build on knowledge acquired while in the camp.
2,498 corps members reported at the camp and those with serious health challenges, married nursing mothers and pregnant corps members have been relocated.
