The Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal is set to deliver judgment in the petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, challenging the outcome of the governorship election held September 2018 in the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had in September 2018 declared Gboyega Isiaka oyetola of the All Progressives Congress winner of the governorship election in the election.
Oyetola was declared winner after a supplementary election was held following the declaration of the first round of election as inconclusive because the difference between the two leading candidates was less than the number of cancelled votes.
The Justice Ibrahim Sirajo-led three-man bench began delivering judgment at 10.33am on Thursday.
The lead judgment is being delivered by a member of the panel, Justice Peter Obiora.
At the last adjourned date, the Tribunal after entertaining final arguments and adoption of written addresses by lawyers to the parties, reserved judgment for today.
