An FCT high court sitting Maitama, has granted Babachir Lawal and two others bail in the sum of N50million each, with one surety each who must possess titles to land within the jurisdiction of the court and must show evidence of payment of tax for the past 3 years.
The court also held that the former SGF, and the two others must deposit their international passport with the court pending the fulfillment of their bail conditions.
The court adjourned to 18th March 2019, stating that the defendants must remain in the custody of the EFCC until they fulfill their bail conditions.
The former SGF had pleaded not guilty to the 10 count charges bordering on alleged conspiracy and fraudulent acquisition of property leveled against him by the EFC
