The Nigerian Airforce says 2019 will witness a more intense offensive against insurgency in the country.
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, revealed this during an operational visit to 115 Special Operations Group in Port Harcourt.
Uche Okoro reports that the Airforce Chief of Policy and Plans, Air Vice Marshal Muhammadu Mohammed represented Air Marshall Abubakar. He visited this base, described as the home of combat helicopters, to
assess the operational status of its personnel.
Satisfied with progress being made here, the Air Chief disclosed ongoing
efforts by the Airforce to raise the bar.
It was also a day for commissioning of projects aimed at improving the
welfare of junior officers.
The Chief of Air Staff also unveiled a 9-hole Golf Club within the base as
part of efforts to promote sports and physical well-being of personnel.
