The Nigerian Army has arrested ten herdsmen for destroying farmland at Tse-Tigir and Tse-Ndugh villages in Benue state.
Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Texas Chukwu, said the suspects were nabbed by troops participating in the ongoing operation Cat Race in the state.
The herdsmen who were caught destroying the farmland fled into the bush when they sighted the troops.
The determined troops pursued, arrested them and recovered five motorcycles, two machetes, assorted charms and N120,000.
The suspects have been handed over to the Police for investigation.
