The controversy surrounding the proposed visit of former Kano state Governor and senator representing Kano central, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has taken a new twist.
This is as the Lagos chapter of his Kwankwasiya movement on Monday challenged the Kano state commissioner of police Rabiu Yusuf, to give clearance and adequate security for his visit scheduled for Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference in Lagos, the state coordinator of the movement Ladipo Johnson condemned in strong terms the so called police report stating that senator Kwankwanso’s proposed visit might cause to chaos in the state.
Ladipo noted that it will amount to a gross violation of the former governors right to be prevented from visiting his constituents and his home.
They alleged that the decision by the police is motivated by politics of 2019.
The senator has not visited his home state for almost 3 years.
