Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has inaugurated a 45-member committee of Lagos State Oil Producing Area Community Relations in Badagry.
Correspondent, Adedoja Salam-Adeniyi reports that the committee is made up of all the interest groups, the Lagos state government, Badagry traditional rulers and members of Aje Field oil company.
Their assignment is to handle inter and intra community issues and resolve them.
Ambode charged them to maintain peace and ensure an investor-friendly environment. Aje field oil by Yinka Folawiyo commenced exploration in 1991 and became operational last year.
Governor Ambode also inaugurated High court and Magistrate’s court complex in Badagry. The six-court room complex is to deliver justice to all residents.
The ultra modern facility court house is named after a former chief Judge of the state, the late Olusola Thomas.
