Ikpeazu petitions IGP over Nwosu’s alleged threat to life

The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has called on the Inspector General of Police , Ibrahim Idris, to thoroughly investigate the allegations of Friday Nwosu bothering on threats to his life.

Addressing the Press, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Enyinnaya Appolos, says the Governor is unhappy for what he described as unnecessary and frivolous assertions without proof by politicians to seek attention.

Governor Ikpeazu observed that the petition contains Weighty criminal allegations that are capable of truncating the enduring peace in Abia State and should be investigated to ascertain the veracity of the allegations.

Nwosu, a gubernatorial aspirant in the last election in a petition to the Inspector General of Police accused Governor Ikpeazu, Senator Theodore Orji, and two others of planning to kill him.
