The Nigeria Police have arrested a gang of five on suspicion of involvement in kidnappings along Kaduna to Abuja highway.
The highway is known for incessant cases of robbery and Kidnapping of highly placed Nigerians.
Sifon Essien reports that Adamu Mamman, alias ‘Master’ and his gang are being held by the police for kidnapping along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway.
They are accused of kidnapping the driver to the Chairman Senate Committee on Police Affairs, five higher education students and a police officer whose identity the police would not reveal.
‘Master” who confessed committing the offence, said he got the military camouflage and other items from another gang leader who are hiding in the forest in the area.
The arrests come less than a week after the police launched a special operation along the Abuja-Kaduna highway which has become the den of kidnappers.
