Governor of Ogun state Ibikule Amosun has said there is need for tax professionals to come up with new tax laws that will make tax payment easy across the country.
He was speaking at the annual tax conference holding in Abeokuta Ogun state.
Amosun who doubled as the special guest of honour urged tax professionals to look into their laws to make tax payment easier and create awareness of the benefits of paying tax to the citizens.
For the president of Nigeria’s taxation institute, Nigerians need to change their attitude towards paying tax.
She also charged government on judicious use of funds generated from taxation.
Participants agreed that Nigeria’s tax system is in a constant state of flux and reforms must be initiated to bring about competitiveness across board.
