Members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have begun a three-day visit to Los Angeles for their evaluation of the city as host of the 2024 Olympic summer games.
The bid leans heavily on existing sporting venues, including the Memorial Coliseum that was the center piece of the 1932 Olympics and used again for the 1984 Summer Games.
Paris and LA are the only remaining cities in the race to secure the 2024 Games, after a number of withdrawals from the process, including Boston, Hamburg, Rome and, most recently, Budapest.
The IOC is scheduled to meet in Lima, Peru, on September the 13th to choose the host city.
