Senate Adhoc committee vows to investigate suspended SGF

Due to the absence of suspended SGF Babachir Lawal, the Senate Adhoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the Northeast has vowed to go ahead and submit their report.

Senate Adhoc Committee says suspended SGF Babachir Lawal chased out officials who went to deliver invitation to him at his residence yesterday even as he absented himself from the investigative hearing today.

Senate Adhoc Committee to submit its final report at plenary next week, Chairman, Shehu Sani tells media.

At Press briefing, Senator Ben Bruce says if SGF Babachir Lawal had appeared it may have made his case much better but “he is like someone that stabbed himself with a Jack knife”

Bruce says they gave Lawal enough opportunity but chasing away officials that took invitation letter to him is unacceptable
