Toke Makinwa, media personality and now an author has said, she is very happy and comfortable with the complexion of her skin.
She explained why she bleached her skin during an interview with TVC YourView Show today (9th of December 2016).
The 32 year old beauty revealed she started bleaching to compete with her husband’s baby mama Anita, who is half Lebanese and Ibibio, and encouraged every woman to do whatever it takes to keep her man.
In her book she said, “I had been with Maje from when I was an immature teenager, through my twenties, and for most of those years, Anita had been the standard I had to live up to. I had lightened my skin at some point – Anita was half Lebanese and half Ibibio, and Maje made me feel like he preferred her lighter skin.”
Makinwa released excerpts from the book titled ‘On Becoming‘ and dropped a few juicy details about her personal life and her failed marriage with Maje Ayida.
