#RiversRerun: APC’s Magnus Abe wins Senatorial race

Announcing the results out the collation center in Bori, the capital of Khana Local Government Area of the state, the Returning officer , Professor Gideon Onukwuisi declared Magnus Abe the winner of the election.

Professor Gideon Onukwuisi declared that out of the one hundred and fifty-four thousand and seven hundred and three votes cast, one hundred and fifty-two thousand, seven hundred and six votes came out valid while two thousand, six hundred and twenty-seven ballot were rejected.

The returning officer declared that out of the number of votes cast, Senator Magnus Abe of APC scored 125, 938 (one hundred and twenty-five thousand, nine hundred and thirty-eight) votes to win senator Olka Nwogu of PDP who scored twenty-five thousand, three hundred and ninety-four votes.

Addressing newsmen, Senator Magnus Abe expressed satisfaction with the result of the election just as he dedicated his victory to God.

ABE also praised his party supporters for having confidence in him and promised them better representation.

Our correspondent reports that Maurice Pronem who is the candidate of APC for Khana- Gokana federal constituency was also declared winner by Independent National Electoral Commission with total of sixty-eight thousand and two hundred and nineteen votes.

Professor G.G Osuagwu who is the returning officer declared that out of the 91,533 total votes cast, 90,485 came out valid and 1048 were rejected

ID had 52 votes, LP had 52 votes , PDP had 20329 votes.
