Ado Den Haag right-back Tyrone Ebuehi has opted out of featuring in Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria on November 12.
The 20-year-old defender, who was born in Haarlem in The Netherlands, explained that he feels that the call has come at the wrong time as he wants to focus on playing for his Dutch club.
Despite perceiving the call from Nigeria as “a great honour,” Ebuehi is not ruling out the chance of playing for the Super Eagles if he is handed an invite again.
The ADO Den Haag man was one of nine defenders called up by Gernot Rohr.
Ebuehi is still eligible to play for Nigeria and The Netherlands.
