Oyo Commences payment of Pension Arrears

Oyo Govt approves N800m for pensioners

pensioners-1A fourteen day ultimatum issued by the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners has been lifted following the commencement of payment of pension arrears.

Chairman of the Union Gbadegesin Akande made this development known in Ibadan during a meeting with the state government over viable means of resolving an impasse with her senior citizens.

Meanwhile, Commissioner for Local government and chieftaincy title Bimbo Kolade who led the Oyo State delegation urged the pensioners to partner government in moving the state forward.
