President Donald Trump on Tuesday signalled that the United States could launch further military action against Iran, warning that an underground nuclear facility known as Pickaxe Mountain may become Washington’s next target.
Located near Natanz, Pickaxe Mountain is a heavily fortified underground nuclear site that Western intelligence agencies believe Iran is developing as an undeclared uranium enrichment facility.
“We’ll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily,” Trump said, adding that he would not normally announce targets but “there’s not a thing they can do about it.”
