Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has said he will not intervene in the ongoing rift between actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, describing such disputes as difficult to resolve.

Speaking in a recent interview, the actor explained that he deliberately avoids mediating in conflicts involving women, noting that such disagreements are often complex and hard to settle.

He said: “If they have sense, they should understand that God has favoured them and they should be joyful. I don’t interfere in disputes among women. When men have issues, they talk them through and move on, but when it’s between women, it becomes more complicated than war—very difficult for anyone to step into. It is always worse than Hitler’s war, so it is hard for anybody to interfere.

“Any man who gets involved is not acting wisely. What is the reason for the fight? What is really the problem when God has already blessed both of them? Is fighting the next step? Very soon, they will come back to their senses. It is not even my business. If they choose to be jealous of each other, that’s on them. They are all my children, and anyone who does not want to be part of us, we will avoid.”

The remarks follow a viral video showing Akindele appearing to snub Abraham during a greeting at a movie premiere hosted by Iyabo Ojo.

Iyabo Ojo has since reacted to the situation, revealing that she had previously attempted to mediate between the two actresses but would no longer be involved.

Meanwhile, Abraham’s husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, praised her for her supportiveness and suggested she would maintain silence over the controversy.
