Kizito Bonzena, the Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The move on Monday preceded the planned defection of Governor Agbu Kefas to the ruling party.
All other principal officers of the state legislature and PDP members of the assembly accompanied Bonzena in the switch.
Viral footage captured the lawmakers exchanging their PDP caps for ones bearing the insignia of President Bola Tinubu. They were also handed brooms, the symbolic emblem of the APC.
