Members of the El’Zakzaky’s sect protested, in defiance of a police directive restricting demonstrations to the Unity Fountain in Abuja.
They were on the streets of the capital on Thursday, demanding the release of their leader.
They took to the streets in the metropolis of Abuja demanding the release of their leader Ibrahim Elzakzaky.
The protest portrays their dissatisfaction with the adjournment in proceedings of a High Court in Kaduna.
The court adjourned till the 29th to determine the application by the leader of the Islamic Movement to be allowed to seek medical attention outside the country.
The protest ended peacefully. But the Shiites are bent on embarking on more protests in days to come till they get what they want.
