Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived at Eagle Square, Abuja, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2026 National Police Day Grand Parade and Procession.
The event, organised by the Nigeria Police Force, drew senior government officials, security chiefs, police leadership and officers from across the federation.
On arrival, the Vice President took the salute from officers on parade, marking the formal commencement of the ceremony.

The National Police Day celebration is expected to feature ceremonial parades, tributes to officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, and renewed commitments to strengthening policing institutions in the country.
The event also underscores the administration’s ongoing efforts to enhance security, improve police welfare and reinforce public confidence in law enforcement agencies.
