19 time Grand Slam Champion, Rafael Nadal has become the latest high profile Tennis Player to pull out from the US Open over Coronavirus concerns.
The Men’s World Number 2 announced his withdrawal on Wednesday, saying his heart felt like it was not the right time to make the trip for the tournament in New York.
Women’s world number one, Ashleigh Barty and Compatriot, Nick Kryios also pulled out last week, worried about significant risks due to COVID-19.
The US Open Defending Champion has however opted not to criticize Organisers on the decision to hold the tournament behind Closed Doors.
