The Qatari President of French League one Champions, PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been charged in connection with bribing former FIFA General Secretary Jerome Valcke.
Valcke was charged with accepting bribes over World Cup television rights.
He was banned from football for 12 years back after being found guilty of misconduct over the sale of World Cup tickets, abuse of travel expenses, attempting to sell TV rights below their market value and destruction of evidence.
Al-Khelaifi is accused of letting Valcke stay in his luxury Italian villa rent-free while he was running FIFA, in an 18-month stay that would’ve amounted to as much as €1.8million.
Nasser Al-Khelaifi is the chairman of beIN Media Group and also on the executive Committee of UEFA.
