The Osun State Police Command has appealed to members of the public to help identify the family of a 70-year-old woman found wandering and reunite her with her relatives.
The command Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, disclosed this in a notice shared with journalists on Monday.
According to the statement, the police disclosed that the woman was found by a good Samaritan from Tiwadayo Street, Otedo, who found the woman wandering around the area.
Ojelabi stated that, upon interrogation, the septuagenarian identified herself as Shifawu Alabi, from the Oja-Oba area of Ibadan, Oyo State, adding that she couldn’t give a satisfactory account of her journey.

The statement reads, “on 24/04/2026, a good samaritan from Tiwadayo Street ofatedo brought to the police one elderly woman found wandering around the area.
“In the interview, she gave her name as Shifawu Alabi, ‘f’, aged about 70 years, of Oja-oba area, Ibadan. She could not give any satisfactory account of where she was going or coming from. disseminate to help reunite her with her loved ones pls.”
