The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, has secured the remand of two suspects accused of defiling minors in separate incidents across the state.
The suspects, identified as Emeka Chidi Innocent, 22, and Ayodele John, 38, were arrested by operatives of the Command following allegations of sexual offences involving two minors.
They were arraigned before a competent court in Akure on April 21, 2026, where the charges were formally read.
The court, after reviewing the evidence presented, established a prima facie case and ordered their remand in a correctional facility pending further proceedings. The case has been adjourned to a later date.

Ondo State Commandant of the Corps, Oluyemi Ibiloye, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting vulnerable members of society, particularly children, and ensuring that perpetrators of sexual and gender-based violence are prosecuted without compromise.
The Command also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report cases of abuse or suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
