The Nigerian Air Force says it has destroyed some terrorists’ gun trucks at Auno, Borno state, Northeast Nigeria.Airforce spokesman Ibikunle Daramola, said in a statement, that the operation was executed by the air task force of Operation Lafiya Dole.
He said the task force scrambled an alpha jet and an Mi-35M helicopter gunship to locate and engage the terrorists.
He said three gun trucks were hit and destroyed while several terrorists were neutralised.
According to him, some of the survivors, who were seen attempting to flee the location, were taken out in subsequent attacks.
