Nigeria @65: God Will Rescue Nigeria From Darkness, Cleric Prays

Dr Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, the Iya Aladura General of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, has called on Nigerians to be more patriotic, optimistic, and prayerful while marking the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

Yomi-Sholoye, in a statement made available to TVC on Wednesday, encouraged Nigerians to be hopeful, stressing that the nation has the potential to grow, reflecting on the progress Nigeria has made since the end of the colonial administration.

She said, “As we commemorate this gracious date of our Nation’s Independence being 1st of October, permit me to use this opportunity to encourage us more for our nonstop patriotism, optimism and prayers.

“Today, we mark the 65th Independence Anniversary of our dear country, Nigeria.

“We can say we are not where we want to be as a nation, but we are sure not where we used to be!

“There is indeed light at the end of the tunnel, so keep hope alive. It’s been 65 Years of God’s Faithfulness.

“Indeed, the Journey so far really has been through God’s Unending Grace, even as we look ahead to Better days.

“Let’s all keep praying for our dear Nation, let’s keep the hope alive, and we are sure of Greater and Better Days Ahead.

“Regardless, this is yet another time to remind ourselves that we have got no other place, hence let us continue to make our own impact in our respective corners.”

Yomi-Sholoye, who also founded The New Seraph Ministry, encouraged individual citizens to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.

The cleric prayed for Nigeria’s deliverance from any powers of darkness opposing its progress and bringing it to bountiful prosperity.

“Our individual efforts, if summed up in good faith, will go a long way in changing the current narratives.

“I pray for us as a Nation, the Lord will heal our Land, the Lord will perfect all that concerns us, and we will all live in abundance.

“On that note, as God has decreed over you, Nigeria, I therefore pray that from the way forward, as a Nation, your Spirit will be inundated with Divine truths; you shall always be Conscious that God delights in your prosperity.

“Going forward, there’s going to be a new energy, aiding an Improved mental and physical state of abundance in every area of our life, more clarity of your purpose, and a new path to clear out the old narratives.

“God shall rescue you, Nigeria, from all powers of darkness contending against your destiny.

“Nigeria, you shall be great again in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen,” the cleric concluded.
