The Naira continued its upward momentum at the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, marking its third straight day of gains against the US dollar.
Figures released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) show the local currency appreciated to N1,442.92 per dollar, improving from N1,446.3156 recorded on Tuesday. The latest movement reflects a day-to-day gain of N3.4.

Activity in the parallel market remained unchanged, with the Naira trading steady at N1,465 per dollar, the same rate as Tuesday.

Over the past three days, the currency has recovered N10.92, clawing back much of the value lost in the previous week.
The positive trajectory comes amid an uptick in Nigeria’s external reserves, which climbed to $44.46 billion as of November 24, 2025, according to the CBN.
