Kano State House of Assembly has passed the Kano Emirates Council Bill 2019, which seeks to create four additional emirates in the state into law.
The bill was sent to the Kano House of Assembly on Monday by the state Executive Council and was read for the third time following the nullification of the established emirates by a Kano High Court.

The passed bill would be taken to the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje for assent.
