A former governor of Kaduna State, Balarabe Musa, is dead.
He was 84 years old.
His death was announced by his political associate and former Senator, Shehu Sani.
Balarabe Musa was elected governor of Kaduna State in 1979 but was later controversially impeached and removed from office.
He is considered a progressive and worked to mobilise against the military junta of late Sani Abacha.
Alhaji Musa’s daughter confirmed that he died on Wednesday morning.
According to her, he will be buried later in the day according to Islamic rites.
The deceased was the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) before his death.
