The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, has arrived in Warri, Delta State, for a joyous homecoming celebrating her Itsekiri maternal heritage.

The First Lady’s visit was disclosed in several statements and videos shared on X by a media personality, Lord of Warri, on Thursday.

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Visits Olu of Warri in Historic Homecoming

According to reports, First Lady Remi Tinubu, accompanied by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, was received by the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ògíamẹ̀ Atuwatsé III.

The statement reads, “Arrival of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the residence of the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ògíamẹ̀ Atuwatsé III, CFR, as she pays a historic homecoming visit to the Kingdom of Warri.”

She landed at Osubi Airport amid cheers from several dignitaries and traditional rulers, then processed to the palace of His Majesty Ògíamẹ̀ Atuwatsé III with floats, traditional performers, and banners proclaiming ‘Welcome Home.’

Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori joined the gathering, while Itsekiri leaders hailed the visit as a milestone for cultural unity and regional development.

The event bridged her Yoruba father from Ogun State with her Delta roots, sparking widespread cultural pride.
