FG to launch media campaign in support of military

Image result for FG to launch media campaign in support of militaryThe Federal Government says it is set to launch a massive media campaign to support the military in the fight against insurgency.

The minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said this at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

The insurgency in Nigeria  in the North Eastern part of the country has again reached boiling point and has sparked up  national and global concern.

In recent times ,Boko Haram has  launched series of attacks specifically targeted at  military formations in the North East which have refuted claims that the sect has been successfully degraded. But the Federal Government is  confident that the military has the capacity to keep the nation secure,despite setbacks recorded in recent times.

It  is set  to launch a media campaign to support the military in the  fight against insurgency.

The army has also launched operation python dance as part of efforts to ensure security for the 2019 general election.

The Government is appealing to the Media to exercise restraint when reporting the  insurgency in the North East,so as not to demoralize the military and strengthen the morale of the insurgents.
