The ministry, in a statement on Monday by its Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, said there was no attack on the school and assured parents and guardians that students, staff and school facilities remain safe.
According to the statement, academic and boarding activities at the college are ongoing without disruption in a secure environment.

The Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa, reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting learners across all Federal Government Colleges, noting that FGGC Monguno operates under established security arrangements.
The minister also clarified that no student of the college was involved in the incident being linked to the school on social media.
He explained that the affected individuals were remedial students outside the college, adding that the Borno State Government was already taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and welfare.
The ministry urged members of the public, particularly social media users, bloggers and online platforms, to verify information from credible sources before sharing reports.
“The deliberate spread of unverified information not only misinforms the public but also creates needless fear, undermines public confidence, and distracts from ongoing efforts to provide safe and conducive learning environments for Nigerian students,” it said.
