Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has claimed the Premier League Player of the Month award for March, equalling former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo’s tally of six and moving within one award of the all-time record held by Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Mohamed Salah.
Fernandes earned the accolade after an exceptional month in which he contributed two goals and four assists across four Premier League matches, driving United’s attacking performances.
His March highlights included scoring and creating a goal in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, assisting in a narrow defeat to Newcastle, providing two assists in a 3-1 victory against Aston Villa, and netting a penalty in a 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth.

The Portuguese playmaker also set a new club record by taking his seasonal assist tally to 16, surpassing David Beckham’s 1999/2000 mark of 15. Fernandes now trails only the Premier League’s all-time single-season assist record of 20, jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, by four assists.
Since his Premier League debut in February 2020, Fernandes has become the most frequent recipient of the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, adding March 2026 to previous wins in February, June, November, and December 2020.
This is his first triumph exactly a year after claiming the March 2025 prize.
Fernandes is the second Manchester United player to win the award this season, following Bryan Mbeumo’s October 2025 recognition.
