The ruling on former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s bail application has been fixed for the 14th of April.
Arguments were presented today by both the defence and the prosecution teams at the Federal High Court In Kaduna.
Lead defence counsel, Adewole Iyamu, says the team is hopeful of a favourable decision, adding that all its arguments have been fully placed before the court.
Iyamu confirmed that the bail application was formally moved in court and duly responded to by the prosecution.
He also confirmed that El-Rufai is expected to appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja on 10th April in a separate matter filed by the Department of State Services, DSS.
According to Iyamu, the defence team is fully prepared for the April 10 hearing, noting that all necessary legal papers have already been filed.
