Christmas_ Yari donates 500 bags of rice, 15 cows, N1m to Igbo, Yoruba communities in Zamfara

Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has distributed Christmas Welfare Packages to Christian, Igbo and Yoruba Community in the state to celebrate Christmas.

The former Governor called on Christians in Zamfara and across the globe to use the Christmas Period to pray for lasting peace, Unity and Progress in Zamfara and the Country in General

The Items donated are five hundred bags of rice, fifteen Cows and One Million Naira Cash

The Donation is to cushion the hardship of the Christian Community in the state especially at the all important season

Presenting the items to the leadership of the Christian, Igbo and Yoruba Communities in Gusau the state Capital, A chieftain of the Yari’s Faction of the APC Sani Musa Mafara said, the former governor has been supporting the Christians especially in a season like this since his first term in Office as the state Governor in 2011

He said the gesture is to enable Christians residing in the state to celebrate the season in a joyous mood

Mafara noted that the items Consists of 500 Bags of Rice, 15 Cows and One Million Naira Cash especially to the poorest of the poor among them

Mafara appeal to all Christians to use the Christmas Period to pray for peace, Unity in the state and the Country in General.

“The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Received 400 Bags of Rice, 10 Cows and One Million Naira Cash; Igbo Wing of the APC, 40 Bags of Rice, 2 Cows; Igbo Progressives Forum, 40 bags of Rice, 2 Cows while Yoruba Community Received 20 bags of Rice and 1 Cow for the Christmas Celebrations” he added

Receiving the Christmas items, on behalf of the Christian Community in the State, Reverend Father Iliya Ibrahim Tsiga commended the former governor for the Gesture

He said they’ve been enjoying the good gesture since when Abdul’azeez Yari was the Governor

Reverend father assures that the items will be shared accordingly and assures of transparency and fairness in the sharing.
