Akpeyi and Iwobi got injured just before the game against Cameroon.
Both players join China based Captain, John Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo as well as Victor Moses of Chelsea in the squad.
But portugal based goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu drops to the stand-by list.
