Death toll in attacks on Sokoto Villages rises to 29

Image result for Death toll in attack on Sokoto Village attack rises to 29The casualty figure in the Dan Tatsako village attack in Sokoto state has risen  to twenty nine, the state Emergency Management Agency disclosed this to Journalists on Saturday.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal  said the attack is coming at a point when the Sokoto state government is seeking effective ways to mediate between farmers, herders and members of volunteer vigilante groups in the state, in order to end the incessant attacks by armed bandits.

He disclosed this during a condolence visit to the District Head of Goronyo, which is the local government where Dan Tatsako village, is located.

The pockets of violence perpetrated by armed bandits on villages in the eastern part of Sokoto state is raising concern among residents in the state

The recent attack in Dan Tatsako village in Sabon Garin Dole in Goronyo district resulted in twenty nine persons being killed.

The state Governor paid a condolence visit to the district head of Goronyo nad assured him of plans to mediate between the farmers/herders and members of the volunteer vigilante groups known as Yan Sakai

Extra judicial killings by members of the volunteer vigilante groups known as Yan Sakai, is believed to be fueling retaliatory attacks by armed bandits in the north western Nigeria.

To end the crises in the region, leaders in the region have called for mediation and dialogue among farmers, herders and members of the vigilante groups.
