The Department of Petroleum Resources has compelled more than ten filling stations selling petrol above the regulated pump price in Sokoto to revert to the N145 per litre price.
The department’s Head of Operations in the state, Nuradeen Abdullahi assured motorists that supply will improve and appealed to them to stop panic buying.
He also dismissed marketers’ claims that they get petrol at a cost that will make selling at the fixed pump price, unprofitable.
