to various university unions by the Federal Government.

The union members who converged on the premises of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) urged President Muhammudu Buhari to probe distribution of the fund to the universities.

TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that armed with placards that bore their message of anger, the leadership of SSANU in the Southwest marched round FUTA to vent their anger. The National Vice President of SSANU, Western Zone, Ilesanmi Jimoh led the protest.

Jimoh berated the Nigerian government for allocating eighty percent of the fund to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the expense of three other unions.

His position was also corroborated by the National Publicity Secretary of SSANU, Salam Salam, who wants President Muhammudu Buhari to probe allocation of the fund to the unions.

The union members also called on government to address the issue of sacked teachers of staff schools. They insist that the strike will continue until government does the needful.
