The NJC, had directed six, out of the seven judges suspended October last year over alleged corruption to resume work on Wednesday, June the 7th.

Justice Ademola’s court room was empty for nine months following the trial of its principal.

Our Correspondent reports that Justice Ademola who walked into the courtroom, at exactly 9:30am  had seven cases on his cause list, and the first he heard, was on a PDP matter, which incidentally, had Joe Agi, a senior Advocate of Nigeria, tried alongside the Judge, as the applicant.

Joe Agi applied to withdraw the suit on the ground that it had been overtaken by events due to the current crisis in the PDP.

Justice Ademola, Subsequently struck out the case.

Some Lawyers expressed happiness over the resumption of the Judges, hailing the decision of the NJC.

This Lawyer says keeping the judges, was not ideal as they had a lot of pending cases, which is tied to the lives of People.

Justice Ademola, was tried at the FCT high court, but was discharged and acquitted, after he made a no-case submission.

It is expected that the other judges, Justice Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court and four others, across the states, would also resume duties.
