Petroleum marketers in Osun state have called for synergy between relevant agencies in the downstream sector to curb selling of fuel on the road side.This is the submission of Representatives of the agencies at the maiden sensitisation workshop for IPMAN members in Ile-Ife, Osun State
Rafiu Hammed reports that the Department of Petroleum Resources took it’s Sensitization to IPMAN members in Ile-Ife after such had earlier been held in Ijesa zone. The message is not different.
Members of IPMAN were advised against diversion of premium motor spirit, PMS.
Chairman of IPMAN in Ile-Ife called on Government to ban the practice considering the danger and it’s negative impact on the Economy.
The DPR also warned against under dispensing of products, poor house keeping, operating with expired licence, upsurge of illegal filling
stations, among others.
The theme of the workshop is ” Oil and Gas Safe Practices: My civic Obligation”.
