The Nigeria Labour Congress has kicked off the strike from Lagos Local Airport where all operations have been cancelled.
The President of the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, Adebiyi Adeyeye, says his members have fully complied with the directive of organised labour to commence an indefinite strike.
But he won’t confirm if the National grid has been shut down.
In a telephone chat with TVC News, the labour leader says his members are at home and will continue to shun work until a contrary directive is issued from the nation’s two labour centres.
