The International Humanitarian Conference for the Civilian Population in Gaza, UN chief António Guterres has reiterated condemnation of the “abhorrent acts of terror” committed by Hamas against Israel, calling again for the unconditional return of all hostages.
Guterres underlined support for civilians in Gaza who now face a never-ending humanitarian nightmare, stressing that “now is the time for concrete action.”
The Israeli Defense Forces continued shelling the Beit Hanoun City in the northern Gaza Strip, with thick smoke rising and sound of blasts as well as gunshots heard from time to time, according to a reporter with the China Media Group (CMG).
The all-round attack, coupled by air forces and armored troops, had devastated the outskirts of the northern Gaza city, with swirling dust covering the vast area of ruins.
A Palestinian Health Ministry spokesperson says an Israeli strike hit a car in the yard of al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City overnight on 10 November.
Large numbers of Gazan residents are being forced to continually keep moving to find new shelter amid a constant barrage of air strikes from Israel which is destroying their temporary homes and leaving them caught in an ongoing cycle of uncertainty and displacement.
Many have been making their way to southern areas of the Gaza Strip as per the demands of the Israeli army, only to be met with a series of air strikes which are inflicting devastation at almost every turn.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant says Since the ground operation has begun, Hamas has been dealt harsh blows, it is receiving a blow after blow, and fighters are advancing and executing missions with great success.
