Senator Emmanuel Bwacha declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Taraba state.

He polled 778 votes to defeat Senator Yusuf Yusuf who polled 5 votes.

The Supreme Court had directed the party to conduct a fresh primary following the nullification and sacking of Bwacha as the candidate of the party.

The Taraba chapter of the party has been embroiled in internal crisis following the conduct of the primaries with different factions engaging in blame games
