A seven-storey uncompleted building has collapsed at Oba Idowu Oniru street, Lekki area of Lagos state while Six people have been trapped in the rubble.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident in the early hours of today.
He stated that operation had commenced on the site to rescue those trapped.
Mr. Oke-Osanyintolu said quote: Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, an uncompleted 7 storey building undergoing construction was found to have collapsed,” Oke-Osanyintolu said.
Six people are reported to be trapped under the rubbles of the collapsed structure.
The agency’s heavy duty equipment excavator will be required for the rescue of the trapped victims. We have activated Lagos State Response plan .Operation ongoing .
In recent times, building collapse has become a recurring trend in Lagos.

The trapped people are said to be located on the 3rd floor, it was on the floor that the 2 recovered bodies were recovered.
The building was sealed on the 18th February, 2021 by LASBCA.
